I hope your brother had a very happy birthday, and I hope you had a very relaxing time behind the wheel. I am keeping track best I can. Riding along with you in the blogosphere is my best chance at getting out for a while. Where do we go next, Piper? :)

Ky Woman

Ohh, wish him a happy birthday for me too.
I read your post before leaving for work. All day long, I puzzled over where you could possibly be. Then it hit me, as those tolls finally connected in my pea brain. There's only one state that has a multitude of toll turnpikes. Pennsylvania!
Last time I was there, I had 5 children with me. Who had time to even look at the countryside then?
Enjoy the beauty that is springing to life. Then come on down to KY! We could be in Tenn. in just a few short hours....

Thank you both! Yes, he did! I did lose my way getting to his birthday dinner though...took me 2.5 hours - and I will post that soggy story in my wrap-up :-D It ended well, though!

KY Woman - you are right! I was headed down the Penn. Turnpike, dodging trucks and trucks, and trucks....

Claire...look for Cherry blossoms late tomorrow evening...! And perhaps some other pictures, she said mysteriously...

A Wartime Prayer

  • Eleanor Roosevelt:
Dear Lord, Lest I continue My complacent way, Help me to remember that somewhere, Somehow out there A man died for me today. As long as there be war, I then must Ask and answer Am I worth dying for?
