It looks like the bust of Henry Lawrence - the one sprinkled ignominiously with bird droppings a couple of years ago - is now headed back to where it all began.
Back to Senior School. It will be placed in the portico.
Apparently all sorted during this year's Founders. Now...how do we get 'ol Henry to...smile? All his pictures show a taciturn man, one whom seniors would have you believe was a bloodsucker. The reality was quite different.
I like the return to Senior School. I am not a fan of too much 'stuff' on school lawns (a fighter plane? really?) and rather like the look without Big Red.
However, Henry's bust (so to speak) just seems to fit the brick grandeur of Senior School. It's an iconic image of Lovedale and I hope it remains there for a long time.
Happy to hear Henry is back on parade.
